Candoli National Park, a part of Sahyadri Tiger Reserve, is spread over Kolhapur, Sangli, and Satara districts. It is also a natural World Heritage Site as the park has historical places of the Maratha Empire from the 17th century.

The majority of the open land of Chandoli National Park was used as an open prison during the early battles of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s rule. The park also has two forts within the park namely Panchitgad and Bhairavgad. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj used Prachitgad as an observation point and recreational place. Ruins of ancient temples, natural beauty, and scenic places like the Kandhar Doh and its falls, Tanali falls, and Vasant Sagar Reservoir is also a part of this natural World Heritage site.

Chandoli National park is a place where you can enjoy it,s heritage while you indulge in an adventurous jungle safari. Trekking and boating are other activities that can be opted for within the park.
